Remote Online Notarization
Electronically sign your document(s) while being witnessed by a TN Notary Public via video conferencing. Receive your document(s) notarized in PDF, with full chain of command via email or secure file sharing link (P2P), Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive (MS), or other secure method.
“An online notary public must verify the identity of a principal at the time of the signature by means of two-way video and audio conference technology. This can be done through personal knowledge of the principal or by remote presentation of a non-military, government-issued credential that contains the principal’s signature and photograph and is capable of credential analysis”. Please see the rules for TN Only Notarization
We will perform two types of I.D. credential analysis. One, conducting a Biometric Identification Verification process, which will validate the signer’s identification presented and Identity Proofing.
Our identity verification process ensures that an individual’s identity is confirmed by an impartial third party. This is done by carefully analyzing both public and private data sources. To make this as effective and secure as possible, we use dynamic Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA), adhering to stringent standards:
- Quiz Composition: Participants are required to complete a quiz of at least five questions. These questions are crafted from various public and private data sources, focusing on the individual’s personal history and identity details.
- Answer Choices: Each question comes with at least five potential answers, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.
- Success Rate: A minimum success rate of 80% is necessary to pass, demonstrating accurate knowledge of personal history.
- Time Limit: The entire quiz must be completed within two minutes, adding an element of efficiency to the process.
- Second Chance: Should there be a need for a retake, participants are given another opportunity within 24 hours. However, to maintain the integrity of the quiz, at least 60% of the questions will be new.
- Attempt Limit: After a second unsuccessful attempt, a 24-hour waiting period is imposed before the participant can retry with the same online notary public. If this occurs, a new session must be booked.
Our process is designed to be rigorous yet fair, ensuring only the rightful individuals proceed, providing an added layer of security and trust to our services.
